When should you have a car inspected?

It depends on the year of manufacture of the car, and whether the car has a gasoline, diesel or electric engine. Usually, the MOT inspection should take place every year. It is important that you keep an eye on yourself when your car is due for another inspection, not only because you will not be insured and automatically receive a fine if you do not meet your MOT obligation, but also to make sure everyone is safe on public roads. You can schedule your new MOT inspection as early as two months before the MOT expiration date. The old expiration date is then extended by 1 or 2 years, depending on your car. With the chart below, you can easily determine when your car is due for another inspection.

What happens after the MOT Inspection?

When the car is approved, you can drive it right away! After the car is inspected, maintenance may also be required first. This only relates to the mandatory parts and we always do this in consultation so that you will not have any surprises. Clear maintenance arrangements are made, and we make sure that this maintenance is done quickly so you can get back on the road with your car. Sometimes it may happen that defects are found that are not mandatory for the MOT inspection, it is then for the preservation of the quality of your car advisable to fix the defects as soon as possible. It is very common for a MOT inspection to include a minor or major service, but it remains entirely up to you what you want to do with this.
